Hans-Joachim Roedelius is one of the father figures of cosmic music and Krautrock. With his bands Cluster and Harmonia, which he set up in the late sixties / early seventies, inspired by the pioneering spirit of those times, he played a significant role in the development of these styles. Arnold Kasar is nearly 30 years his junior: he grew up musically speaking in the Berlin of the 1990s.  Kasar broke down the boundary between electronic dance music and jazz, working with artists like Micatone, Nylon and Friedrich Lichtenstein, and he was active as an ensemble musician, arranger and producer for the influential Berlin label Sonar Kollektiv. Arnold Kasar trained as a classical pianist, while Roedelius never learned to read music. As different as their approaches are, the two of them share an openness to all musical forms: with the gentle piano sounds and atmospheric electronica of their joint project »Influence«, Hans-Joachim Roedelius and Arnold Kasar evolve a unique chemistry together.
