Nico Muhly, Teitur & Nordic Pulse
»Confessions«
Nico Muhly is a young American songwriter and composer of contemporary classical music. Teitur, who has his roots in pop, is a singer-songwriter from the Faroe Islands and well-known in Europe. The two artists released an album together in 2016 entitled »Confessions«. At their concert at the Elbphilharmonie, Muhly and Teitur play together with the Scandinavian ensemble Nordic Pulse! for the first time.
Nordic Pulse! is an ensemble formed of members from the well-known northern European orchestra Baltic Sea Philharmonic, which gave its Elbphilharmonie debut in September 2017 under the baton of its conductor Kristjan Järvi. The musicians of Nordic Pulse! come from countries ranging from Estonia to Iceland; they play acoustic instruments, and will be performing the songs from the album »Confessions« as well as unreleased pieces by Muhly and Teitur.
