Description
Members of the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra formed the NDR Kammerorchester in October 2015 with the aim of performing a varied repertoire from chamber to symphonic music, dating from the baroque to the present day. In the meantime the ensemble has established a tradition of making at least one guest appearance per season in the Elbphilharmonie Recital Hall. This time round, the musicians have invited their orchestral colleague Kalev Kuljus to join them as soloist: the award-winning Estonian oboist will be bringing a member of the oboe family with him for Bach’s Concerto in A major that boasts a particularly warm and deep sound: the oboe d’amore.
