Jazz in the Kulturcafé

Stefan Maus and Beatrice Asare-Lartey share a fascination for selected jazz standards. In the Stefan Maus Quintett, saxophonist Maus is responsible for the music, while singer Beatrice Asare-Lartey congenially completes the quintet with subject matter and texts. The outstanding rhythm group gives the two soloists perfect support. The group’s repertoire is highly varied, ranging from jazz waltzes to African rhythms, full of harmonic facets and lyrical expression – the Stefan Maus Quintett has a fondness towards change.
