Everything is possible
For more than ten years, the Austrian accordionist Klaus Paier and the Croatian cellist Asja Valcic have been thrilling the music world as a duo. For the album »Fractal Beauty«, released in 2021, they have expanded their sound cosmos: the Viennese saxophonist and clarinettist Gerald Preinfalk joined them – and all three have contributed their own compositions for the album, which they presented at the Blind Date in the Elbphilharmonie. The pieces span a wide range, from jazz and world music to classical and modern sounds.
The lights dim, the voices fade, the door opens – and the whole audience waits with bated breath to discover who will step onto the stage: with »Blind Date«, concertgoers never know in advance what they will hear. Anything is possible, from classical or jazz to pop.
