This teatime concert is dedicated to Italian music: ranging from the powerful works of the Wagner admirer Giuseppe Martucci to the imaginative, poetic Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco who spent large parts of his life in California and enjoyed composing for the guitar as much as for Hollywood films. They will be performed by two absolute heavyweights of the young string player league.
