Das Streichquartett gilt als absolute Königsdisziplin der Kammermusik. Umso erfreulicher, dass diese Formation unter den aktuellen Rising Stars gleich zwei Mal vertreten ist. Nachdem das Matosinhos String Quartet aus Portugal das einwöchige Festivals eröffnet hat, übernimmt das französische Quatuor Ardeo das Schlusswort. In seiner Heimat zählt das in Paris beheimatete Ensemble zu den besten jungen Kammermusikensembles. Bereits drei CDs hat es veröffentlicht, die von der Fachpresse allesamt hoch gelobt wurden. Bitte beachten Sie: Leider kann das Quatuor Ardeo nicht in Originalbesetzung nach Hamburg reisen, da die Geigerin Mi-sa Yang kurzfristig erkrankt ist. An ihrer Stelle spielt Guillaume Latour, reguläres Mitglied im renommierten Quatuor Diotima. Daher ändert sich auch das Programm teilweise: Neben den Werken von Anton Webern und Maurice Ravel erklingt nun Schuberts tiefsinniges Quartett »Der Tod und das Mädchen«. Im Rahmen von »ZukunftsMusik« besuchen Schüler des Hamburger Konservatoriums dieses Konzert. Im Vorfeld erhalten sie die Gelegenheit, an einem Instrumentalworkshop mit den Musikern in den Räumen des Konservatoriums im Bunker an der Feldstraße teilzunehmen. Chamber music series, lieder recitals, children's concerts and jazz events seem to be made for the Recital Hall of the Laeiszhalle, which can accommodate up to 640 guests. (Please note: The Laeiszhalle is a separate concert hall located three kilometres away from the Elbphilharmonie.)

We suggest visitors arrive at the Laeiszhalle main entrance not later than 30 minutes before the start of the concert or event. Late seating is not guaranteed and latecomers may not be admitted to the concert hall.
The entrance of the Recital Hall is located on Gorch-Fock-Wall.
