A delight to listen to

Anna Prohaska sings Bach with consummate beauty, as she has shown the world with her latest recordings of his cantatas: »With immaculate style she pulls out all the stops of her talent and conjures up a Baroque musical fresco in splendid nuances of colour« – thus one delighted reviewer on Bavarian Radio. And in the Elbphilharmonie as well, the Austrian star soprano has regularly been garnering thunderous applause since the concert hall’s first season. She now returns to the Elbe together with successful baritone Florian Boesch to present works by Bach as well as a cantata by Bach’s Lübeck colleague Dietrich Buxtehude. The congenial duo, which has made many concert appearances together, is accompanied by the first-class Early Music ensemble Il Pomo d’Oro – musicians whose » virtuosity casts a spell over the entire auditorium«, as The Guardian puts it.
