For many lovers of classical music, the »Teatime Classics« concerts in the Laeiszhalle Brahms Foyer have long been the highlight of their Saturday afternoons. Why not join them for six concerts featuring highly talented musicians that have won international competitions, while enjoying some tea, coffee and cake too!

Turkish pianist Emre Yavuz emerged as the winner in the international Kissinger KlavierOlymp piano competition in 2017. And the Simply Quartet showed why it is such a high-profile string quartet when it triumphed at the International Joseph Haydn Chamber Music Competition. The Danish piano trio Vitrouvi and the Latvian duo Magdalena Ceple and Jelizaveta Vasiljeva are enjoying equally successful and musically diverse careers.

The programme includes piano trio heavyweights by Ravel and Shostakovich, pianistic finger acrobatics à la Scarlatti, and Schubert’s moving string quartet »Death and the Maiden«.
