Elbphilharmonie Talk with Wolfgang Muthspiel

An interview with the Austrian jazz guitarist.

Wolfgang Muthspiel, Austrian jazz guitarist of international standing and almost a regular guest at the Elbphilharmonie, talks about his first film score, which he is performing live in the Elbphilharmonie Grand Hall together with Marie Spaemann (cello) and Mario Rom (triumpet) live to accompany Friederich Wilhelm Murnau's 1931 silent film »Tabu«. In his podcast he also talks about his childhood in Styria, and the fact that blood is thicker than water in the Muthspiel family; about how Renaissance music still influences his own composition style to this day, about his life in New York and Vienna and what it was like playing in a duo with Joe Zawinul, the brilliant keyboarder of Weather Report.
