The star quartet of tomorrow

Founded at the renowned Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, the Fibonacci Quartet quickly attracted attention at numerous competitions, and is now one of the most exciting young quartets in Europe. At the Laeiszhalle, the four young international musicians perform quartets by Beethoven and Bartók, both of whom shaped the genre with revolutionary ideas and whose quartets are considered absolute classics. Beethoven caused a sensation with his very first quartet, Op. 18, while Bartók’s fifth string quartet echoes Bulgarian folk music in his typical style and with boundless energy.
