Quatuor Modigliani: Das sind vier Studenten des Pariser Konservatoriums, die sich 2003 zusammenschlossen, um miteinander Musik zu machen. Jeder brachte seine unverwechselbare Persönlichkeit und Musikalität mit ein; das Ziel bestand darin, einen gemeinsamen Klang zu entwickeln, ohne dass einer der vier seine Individualität den anderen unterordnen sollte. Dieses Experiment ist voll und ganz geglückt. Inzwischen nimmt das Quatuor Modigliani einen festen Platz unter den Rising Stars am Klassikhimmel ein. Ein Rising Star vergangener Tage war Juan Crisóstomo de Arriaga, auch wenn sich heute kaum noch jemand an den spanischen Komponisten erinnert, der nur 19 Jahre alt wurde. Was er in dieser Zeit komponierte, ist aller Ehren Wert. Der 1806 Geborene galt nicht umsonst als musikalisches Wunderkind. Deshalb werden häufig Parallelen zu Mozart und Mendelssohn gezogen, wobei er musikalisch Ersterem wesentlich näher steht, als dem nur drei Jahre jüngeren Mendelssohn.

Chamber music series, lieder recitals, children's concerts and jazz events seem to be made for the Recital Hall of the Laeiszhalle, which can accommodate up to 640 guests. (Please note: The Laeiszhalle is a separate concert hall located three kilometres away from the Elbphilharmonie.)

Please note: There are several construction sites in the immediate vicinity of the Laeiszhalle which may make it difficult to get to the concert. Please therefore plan enough time for your journey to the concert.
The Laeiszhalle is a separate concert hall located three kilometres away from the Elbphilharmonie.
We suggest visitors arrive at the Laeiszhalle main entrance not later than 30 minutes before the start of the concert or event. Late seating is not guaranteed and latecomers may not be admitted to the concert hall.
The entrance of the Recital Hall is located on Gorch-Fock-Wall.
