Bohemia in the blood

»Breathtakingly good«: critics loved the Pavel Haas Quartet and Boris Giltburg’s recording of Antonín Dvořák’s Piano Quintet No. 2. The Czech quartet and their long-standing piano partner won several awards for their take on the work. And deservedly so: there is surely no other ensemble that has internalised the famous warm, Bohemian string sound the way the Pavel Haas Quartet has: »This music with its folk-like sounds is in our blood«, explains cellist Peter Jarůšek.
