Myra Melford's Snowy Egret
Jazz Piano

With her virtuosity and spiritual style, the American musician Myra Melford is considered one of the most interesting pianists of last 25 years. Her quintet, Snowy Egret, was founded in 2012 and performs compositions dedicated to »Memory of Fire«, the well-known work on Latin American history written by Uruguayan historian Eduardo Galeano. Extremely exciting, contemporary jazz lodged between brooding elegies, carnival rhythms and focussed abstractions.
