Als »skandinavischen Jazz mit kubanischen Anklängen und einer leichten Rock’n’Roll-Attitüde« bezeichnet das Tingvall Trio seine Musik, die der Band nach drei hochgelobten und wohlverkauften Alben nun ihre bisher größte Anerkennung einbrachte: den Jazz Echo 2010 in der Kategorie »Ensemble des Jahres national«. Wobei das »national« sich auf den Wohnsitz der drei Wahlhamburger bezieht, denn hinsichtlich Herkunft und Wirkungskreis ist man ganz international ausgerichtet. Und während Kritiker noch diskutieren, ob am Klavier eher der Stil eines McCoy Tyner oder eines Esbjörn Svensson gepflegt wird, haben die drei Herren längst ihren unverwechselbar frechen Klang und dazu ein bunt gemischtes Publikum gefunden. Denn zum raschen Erfolg des Trios, das der schwedische Pianist Martin Tingvall mit dem kubanischen Bassisten Omar Rodriguez Calvo und dem deutschen Schlagzeuger Jürgen Spiegel im Jahr 2003 gegründet hat, trägt sicher die unmittelbare Durchhörbarkeit der Eigenkompositionen bei: »Musik, die einen umstandslos anspringt« oder »gefälliger, junger, frischer, spritziger, eingängiger Jazz« lautet das Urteil der Fachpresse, dem sich Jazz-Aficionados ebenso begeistert anschließen wie Jazz-Neulinge. Eben die Quadratur des Kreises: anspruchsvolle Unterhaltung.

Since 1908, the Laeiszhalle has been a meeting place for Hamburg's musical life. The neo-baroque Laeiszhalle Grand Hall accommodates over 2,000 guests. (Please note: The Laeiszhalle is a separate concert hall located three kilometres away from the Elbphilharmonie.)

Facilities for ladies are located behind the cloakrooms on all floors. Facilities for gentlemen can be found on the landing between the floors, also located behind the cloakrooms.
A fully accessible toilet for persons with mobility disabilities is located behind the cloakroom on the ground floor (Parkett links).

Please note: There are several construction sites in the immediate vicinity of the Laeiszhalle which may make it difficult to get to the concert. Please therefore plan enough time for your journey to the concert.
The Laeiszhalle is a separate concert hall located three kilometres away from the Elbphilharmonie.
We suggest visitors arrive at the Laeiszhalle main entrance not later than 30 minutes before the start of the concert or event. Late seating is not guaranteed and latecomers may not be admitted to the concert hall.
The entrance of the Recital Hall is located on Gorch-Fock-Wall.
