Classical singer meets classic musical! One would not expect that the current Elbphilharmonie artist-in-residence Magdalena Kožená is also passionate about the legendary American musical composer Cole Porter.
This love of jazz is based on the extraordinary artistic partnership with the Czech multitalented jazz and swing singer, actor and director Ondřej Havelka. In 2007, Havelka directed a fascinating musical portrait of Magdalena Kožená. Together, they capture the American sound of the 1930s with Havelka’s »Melody Makers« - a lot of swing and witty melodies included!
