Description

Louis Sclavis loves lively music that tells a story, that seeks new horizons and interdisciplinary dialogues with other art forms. The French clarinettist, who was born in Lyon in 1953, is one of the most important European jazzers of his generation. Back in 2002, he interpreted in music the »visual indignations« of Ernest Pignon-Ernest, the pioneer of French street art, on his album »Napoli’s Walls«. The artist’s large-format figures and interventions in public places, generally unauthorised, have been making a splash since the 1970s.
