The Omissions of the Present Age

»Wer wir waren« (Who We Were) – this was to be the name of Roger Willemsen’s last book. The title was already agreed, and the author had made lots of notes. But Roger Willemsen was not able to finish the book himself before he died. At his last public appearance in 2016, however, he presented the central idea of the book, which he called »A talk about the future«. This talk was published the same year: in it, the writer looks back on the failings of the present era. Actress Iris Berben reads extracts from it, with musical accompaniment from pianist Olena Kushpler and violinist Marc Bouchkov.
