Beethoven: The Sonatas I

Ludwig van Beethoven and star pianist Igor Levit have a very special relationship. The depth of their bond certainly goes beyond mere coincidence and Levit is now considered to be a leading interpreter of Beethoven’s works. In Hamburg he encounters a whole cycle of the master’s 32 sonatas, eight concerts from October 2026 to June 2028. Levit believes he has a much stronger connection to Beethoven than to other composers. »He writes the most deeply human music.
