Laeiszhalle Hamburg Großer Saal

Many people have tried to get to the bottom of his secret, but Grigory Sokolov remains unfathomable, and this is part of his fascination. When he approaches the piano on a darkened concert platform and lays his hands on the keyboard, the music starts to shine. The artist himself retreats into the background, his playing alone is in the limelight, and suddenly the entire audience has the feeling that »This is how the music is meant to sound!« Time after time the exceptional Russian pianist, who has been living in Italy for many years and deliberately avoids all the media hype, conjures up these magical concert moments. And the programme itself is also a welcome surprise!
