René Jacobs, Andreas Scholl, Jordi Savall: the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis has produced many of the leading figures in the early music scene. Besides exceptional soloists, however, numerous outstanding ensembles have also emerged from the legendary academy. One of those is the Voces Suaves vocal ensemble, which specialises in performances of works from the Renaissance to the Baroque period featuring soloists. Together with the world-famous Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, they are coming to Hamburg to present pieces from the »Altbachisches Archiv«, a collection of musical treasures from Johann Sebastian Bach’s estate.
