Making music history: »State of the Art« brings to the stage the most exciting sounds of the present, with line-ups ranging from string quartet to chamber orchestra on the stage of the Elbphilharmonie Recital Hall and, for the first time, the Grand Hall. Under the spotlight this season are Wolfgang Rihm and Thomas Larcher; Matthias Pintscher conducts his own work for piano and ensemble, as well as the impressive cycle »Pharmakeia« by the Scottish composer James Dillon.
