ePhil
The »ePhil« series sees the coming together of the international electronic scene – and the plugging in of all their laptops and synthesizers
Description
A storm of beats from the USA, remixes of Lebanese classics, dense Italian soundscapes, techno-ambient from Chile and abstract electronica from Ukraine – the »ePhil« series brings together artists from four continents with diverse aesthetic styles. Jlin, who most recently collaborated with Björk and Philip Glass, captivates with driving, percussive sounds. In »Chayyel«, Rayess Bek breathes new life into traditional Lebanese dabke dance music. Alessandro Cortini – known as a member of Nine Inch Nails – unleashes powerful synth sounds on »Nati Infiniti«. Zavoloka’s album »Istyna« revolves around the theme of freedom and blends electronic sounds with influences from Ukrainian folk music. The majority of the shows also incorporate strong visual elements.
