»Compact Classics«, the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra’s series of one-hour-long concerts, presents stirring orchestral music in the Elbphilharmonie Grand Hall. This time, Tchaikovsky’s »Manfred« Symphony, inspired by Byron’s poem of the same name, is on the programme. Taking the conductor’s baton: the young experimenter and Israeli conductor Omer Meir Wellber, who celebrates his debut with the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra in the 2018/19 season.
