Description

The audience can look forward to a musical event in a class of its own with the renowned Thüringen Philharmonie Gotha-Eisenach. Under the baton of Dionysis Grammenos, the orchestra presents a festive concert program full of emotion, virtuosity, and tonal brilliance. The outstanding soloist of the matinee concert is Austrian tenor Andreas Schager, one of the most sought-after Wagner interpreters of our time. With his powerful voice, incomparable expressiveness, and stage presence, he is one of the world’s leading heroic tenors.

Engagements at the Vienna State Opera, the Metropolitan Opera in New York, and the Bayreuth Festival attest to his international reputation. In Hamburg, he will perform famous arias from operas by Giuseppe Verdi and Richard Wagner.

Also on stage: the charismatic star violinist Lidia Baich. She combines technical brilliance with great musicality and emotional depth. The Austrian artist, who has played on Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s original violin, thrills audiences and the press alike with her unmistakable sound and passionate virtuosity.
