Sound Puzzles and floating Holograms

The SWR Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Bas Wiegers explores, together with pianist Rei Nakamura and hologram soloist Agata Zubel, the tensions between minimalist details and spectacular, multisensory sound worlds.

Mysterious titles such as »The Fat Shepherd and the White Rabbit« or »The Golden Animals« already hint at how playfully and surprisingly Klaus Lang’s sound worlds unfold. The music of the Styrian composer is driven by constant movement and subtle, almost microscopic changes. His new piano concerto is also minimalist in design and will receive its world premiere just a few days before »Elbphilharmonie Visions« at the ECLAT Festival in Stuttgart – a highlight to look forward to.
