Sophia Oster Quartett

Jazz mit Seele, Tiefe und Strahlkraft

Pianist, singer and composer Sophia Oster is one of the most exciting new voices of the young jazz generation. With remarkable expressiveness and musical maturity, she has long since established herself as a fixture on the scene. She made her debut in 2021 with the album »Jubilation«, followed by the EP »All Smiles«, on which she collaborated with renowned drummer Jorge Rossy (Brad Mehldau Trio, among others) and New York saxophonist Bill McHenry, among others. She is currently presenting her new album Praise, recorded with a top-class quartet: the award-winning saxophonist Konstantin Herleinsberger, the experienced US bassist Paul Imm (known for touring with Lee Konitz and Rosemary Clooney) and the virtuoso, up-and-coming Brazilian drummer Rafael Müller.
