Description
With »Rock the Opera«, conductor Friedemann Riehle achieves the impossible: a perfect fusion of classical music and rock. Riehle originally conceived the programme for his concerts at the Vienna State Opera. Together with the orchestra, he catapults rock music into a new dimension while preserving the atmosphere and power of the original songs. In October »Rock the Opera« comes to the Laeiszhalle with a brand-new program. Outstanding rock vocalists, a band, and a large symphony orchestra guarantee an evening to remember. Highlights of the set list include »Shine On You Crazy Diamond« and »Eclipse« by Pink Floyd, »Love Of My Life«, »Somebody to Love« and »Don’t Stop Me Now« by Queen, »Highway Star« by Deep Purple, »Thunderstruck« by AC/DC and many more.
