Whether in life, love or music, it´s always the same: new stimuli are necessary to keep the fire and passion ablaze. In the Bavarian town of Weilheim, brothers Markus and Micha Acher devote themselves to this principle with heart and soul. »Ms. John Soda«, »Lali Puna«, »Tied & Tickled Trio« or »13&God« are just some of their completely different sounding projects, for which The Notwist represents the role of parent ship. The Notwist has existed since 1989; from its wild hardcore beginnings, only their intensity remains. With »Shrink« (1998) The Notwist ushered in a complete turnaround in style to a version of pop utterly their own, which climaxed with »Neon Golden« in 2002. That album, today considered a classic, cemented the group´s unique position. Rock, jazz and classical music connect with heart-warming digital beats in their melancholic sound monsters. Magical electronic tones float weightlessly throughout every genre and lend a comforting intimacy to the whole, multi-layered work of art. Their recent and critically acclaimed album »Close to the Glass« was published in February 2014.
