»Apollo – A Bigband Guide to the Galaxy«
Fifty years after the first moon landing, Danish composer, conductor and saxophonist Lars Møller reaches for the stars: Johann Sebastian Bach, György Ligeti and last but not least Gustav Holst with his work »Die Planeten« have been inspired by the endless expanse of space. Lars Møller transforms these musical sources into a dramatic big band composition that combines groovy, powerful, spacious and transparent sounds. A project tailor-made for the NDR Bigband.
