To every musician and listener, Bach’s musical cosmos seems infinite in its richness, depth, and all-encompassing grandeur. And last but not least, Bach’s music is also traveling in space: no fewer than three pieces by Bach can be found on the Voyager Golden Records – more than by any other composer. It is therefore highly fitting that pianist Mona Asuka is now performing Bach’s works to projections of images of space: a sensational audiovisual sound journey through cosmic expanses.
