Listening Session with Phantom Orchard
ePhil / Elbphilharmonie PLUS
Music & feminism
What do musicians like Ikue Mori and Zeena Parkins, who have been involved in New York’s downtown scene for decades, listen to? Electronic improvisation and fascinating soundscapes characterise the music of the duo, who call themselves Phantom Orchard and are coming to the Elbphilharmonie on 5 December with their album »Hit Parade of Tears«. At the listening session on the evening before the concert, the two will present in a cosy setting their favourite recordings that have shaped them and continue to inspire them to this day. They will also discuss life as women in the music world and other feminist topics with moderator Vanessa Wohlrath.
Please note: The listening session will be held in English.
