Isata Kanneh-Mason, piano (2G)
Rising Stars – 2G+ AND PHYSICAL DISTANCE
Musical genes
What a family: Isata Kanneh-Mason has six brothers and sisters, and all of them play a musical instrument. Her brother Sheku, for instance, played the cello at Prince Harry’s wedding to Meghan Markle. But Isata has absolutely no need to hide in his shadow: the British pianist has been on stage together with Elton John, her debut album featuring piano music by Clara Schumann made it to first place in the UK Classical Charts, and in 2020 she was awarded the Opus Klassik prize as Best Young Artist. Isata Kanneh-Mason, who was born in 1996, demonstrates her enormous stylistic range in her Rising Stars concert.
