Dass erfolgreiche Sänger-Karrieren nicht schmalspurhaft verlaufen müssen, zeigt das Beispiel der 32-jährigen Französin Isabelle Druet. Sie ist Schauspielerin und Sängerin und lebte mit ihrer Gruppe »La Carotte« auch ihre Lust am Zirkus-Machen aus. Sie sang Rossini, Offenbach und Lully mit Christophe Roussets Talens Lyriques. René Jacobs lud sie ein zu seiner Aufnahme der Zauberflöte, wenig später debütierte sie an der Pariser Opéra National als Carmen, eine Partie, die sich gerade zu einer Art Paraderolle von Isabelle Druet entwickelt. Aber auch als Rezitalsängerin bewahrt sich die Französin, die sich beim Königin Elisabeth Wettbewerb in Brüssel 2009 den zweiten Preis ersang, einen breiten Horizont. So singt sie am 18. Januar vor- und hochimpressionistische Mélodies aus Paris, spätromantische Lieder aus Wien und drei frühe Songs des 83-jährigen Amerikaners George Crumb. Ihre Partnerin am Klavier ist Anne Le Bozec, Professorin für Liedbegleitung in Paris und Karlsruhe.

Chamber music series, lieder recitals, children's concerts and jazz events seem to be made for the Recital Hall of the Laeiszhalle, which can accommodate up to 640 guests. (Please note: The Laeiszhalle is a separate concert hall located three kilometres away from the Elbphilharmonie.)

Please note: There are several construction sites in the immediate vicinity of the Laeiszhalle which may make it difficult to get to the concert. Please therefore plan enough time for your journey to the concert.
The Laeiszhalle is a separate concert hall located three kilometres away from the Elbphilharmonie.
We suggest visitors arrive at the Laeiszhalle main entrance not later than 30 minutes before the start of the concert or event. Late seating is not guaranteed and latecomers may not be admitted to the concert hall.
The entrance of the Recital Hall is located on Gorch-Fock-Wall.
