An encounter with fate

When the French pianist Hélène Grimaud goes on stage, strides softly towards the concert grand and places her fingers onto the black and white keys with profound affinity, the ceremony alone casts a spell over the audience. Her incredible charisma and passion promise an exceptional evening. On the programme: Mozart. Not one but two of the works he composed in a minor key. »I found it interesting because these works provide a glimpse behind the mask of jollity that surrounds many of his famous works. For me, these pieces symbolically represent encounters with fate – and yes, there is something dramatic and tragic to it«, says Grimaud.
