Brazilian Duet

Violinist Guido Sant’Anna and guitarist Plínio Fernandes, two of Brazil’s most exciting young musicians, come together at the Elbphilharmonie to celebrate the classical music of Latin America with works by Heitor Villa-Lobos, Astor Piazzolla, and others. What unites these composers is their admiration for European classical music and their simultaneous rootedness in the folklore and popular dance music of their homelands.
