Ensemble Resonanz presents a cross-section of recent American music at the »Greatest Hits« Festival ‒ supported by no fewer than seven (!) electric guitars. In a three-part concert programme, the musicians spread out a musical panorama that begins with purely electronic sounds and then gradually evolves into a full orchestra. The concert comes to a close with the Feldmann pupil Elliott Sharp, whose works alternate between New Music, jazz and rock.
Boyds Electric Guitar Orchestra (BEGO) was founded in October 2009 as a subsidiary project of the composers’ collective Nelly Boyd. The orchestra has recourse to what has become a large pool of musicians to perform new compositions of its own as well as classical pieces in varying formations of up to twelve electric guitars, electric bass and percussion.
