Please note: Due to illness this concert has had to be cancelled. Instead, there will be an organ concert this evening with a top-class replacement: The organist Naji Hakim had already been scheduled to perform twice at the Elbphilharmonie and is now finally coming to Hamburg with a programme of his own compositions. Organ and piano is not a combination you hear every day. Very few composers have written works for this exquisite combination. Iveta Apkalna, the Elbphilharmonie’s titular organist, and the pianist Herbert Schuch now perform a selection of these repertoire rarities in the Grand Hall.
