Blechschaden: Bavaria’s best export next to beer and Bayern Munich: The eleven brass players and one percussionist from six different countries also call themselves the »Foreign Legion of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra«. Blechschaden: It’s a mixture of Last Night of the Proms and the Vienna New Year’s Concert.
In the new programme for their 2025 tour, the Philharmoniker’s »foreign legionnaires« once again mix the various musical genres into a highly entertaining cocktail of melodies, garnished with hilarious moderations and interludes. Above all, their Scottish conductor Bob Ross generously reaches into the humour box in a very un-Scottish way.
