Instinctive certainty

You need strong nerves as a horn player: the instrument can be temperamental, especially when it is being played in a solo capacity. But Ben Goldscheider presumably need not worry about that: he has a command of his horn that can be described as instinctive certainty. Critics admire both his beauty of tone when playing legato and his stupendous technical virtuosity and depth of interpretation.
