Singer and pianist Amanda Palmer, who gained fame as a member of the Dresden Dolls, has undertaken a diverse range of projects over the last few years, from book publications to cover albums. This year she is releasing her second solo album, the follow-up to her 2012 record »Theatre is Evil«. »There Will Be No Intermission« has been funded exclusively by around 12,000 supporters on the crowdfunding platform »Patreon«. As always, the American musician’s treatment of the sombre subject matters – such as illness, abortion and the challenges of parenthood – is expressed through a range of arrangement styles, from piano ballads to alternative rock.
