Description

Franz Liszt’s Piano Sonata in B minor glides between abysmal despair and ebullient joyfulness – a real balancing act for all performers and a quality that warrants placing it as the centrepiece of this new edition of »Pianomania« concerts. Four profoundly personal interpretations of what is perhaps Liszt’s most important piano work can be heard over the course of four concerts, each embedded in completely different musical contexts. Just one of artists taking their place at the piano is Yulianna Avdeeva, winner of the Chopin Piano Competition.
