Drei Konzerte im Großen Saal der Laeiszhalle. Frage: Was verbindet das beste und das sechstbeste Orchester der Welt (wenn man der aktuellen Rangliste des Klassik-Magazins »Gramophone« glauben will), also das Amsterdamer Concertgebouw Orchester und das Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks? Antwort: ihr gemeinsamer Künstlerischer Leiter Mariss Jansons. Wenn der lettische Stardirigent nun mit seinen Ensembles sowie den Wiener Philharmonikern (dritter Rang) in der Saison 2010/2011 eine Residenz in Hamburg gestaltet, kann man ohne Übertreibung von einem Gipfeltreffen der Orchester sprechen. Und dass Mariss Jansons das Beste aus jedem Klangkörper hervorzuholen versteht, ohne dessen spezifische Eigenheiten zu beschneiden, hat der einstige Karajan-Schüler zuvor schon als Leiter so unterschiedlicher Orchester wie jener von St. Petersburg, Oslo, London und Pittsburgh bewiesen. Mit den höchsten Weihen der Branche versehen, wie Classical Music Award oder Dirigat des Wiener Neujahrskonzertes (2006), hat Mariss Jansons längst die Wahl unter den Besten der Besten. So schwärmt er von »seinen« Bayern: »Das Orchester ist nicht nur brillant - es hat überhaupt keine Schwächen. Sie sind ungeheuer spontane Spieler, sie spielen jedes Konzert als wäre es ihr letztes. Für mich als Dirigent ist es, wie einen Rolls-Royce zu fahren.« An den drei Abenden in Hamburg stehen ihm zudem Solisten von Weltrang zur Seite: Mit Thomas Hampson musiziert er Mahlers »Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen«, mit Mitsuko Uchida und Leif Ove Andsnes Klavierkonzerte von Beethoven und Mozart. Die zweiten Programmhälften sind Höhepunkten der romantischen Orchesterliteratur gewidmet - von Berlioz' »Symphonie fantastique« über »Vorspiel und Liebestod« aus Wagners »Tristan und Isolde« bis zu Strauss' autobiografischem Epos »Ein Heldenleben«.

  • Discounts

    All aged 30 and under have the added benefit of an economically priced youth subscription.

    People who are severely disabled: if the letter B is noted on your disabled pass, the person accompanying you receives a free subscription seat (bookable by phone under +49 40 357 666 66, by email to barrierefrei@elbphilharmonie.de or in person at the Elbphilharmonie’s ticket shops).

    As a subscriber, you receive a discount of 10% off a maximum of two individually booked tickets for many more concerts in the current season. As soon as you have paid for your subscription you can make use of your 10% discount.

  • Discounts for Symphoniker Hamburg's concerts

    You would rather pick out your own individual concerts than book an entire concert series? In that case, the »Wahl-Abo« is just right for you. It is the best way to experience the programmatic breadth of the Symphoniker Hamburg and not miss out on special rates: a 20% discount when buying tickets for five (or more) different concerts at the same time. The discount is only available at the Elbphilharmonie and Laeiszhalle Tickets shops and when ordering by telephone.

    As a subscriber, you receive a discount of 10% off a maximum of two individually booked tickets for most concerts in the current season. As soon as you have paid for your subscription you can make use of your 10% discount.

  • Discounts

    With the Abo-Card, two tickets can be purchased for many concerts of the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg and the Norddeutscher Rundfunk with a 10% discount. The 10% discount can be claimed directly after payment of the subscription.

  • Renewal: no problem

    A subscription is valid for the selected series in season and will be renewed for a further season automatically, unless written notice to terminate the renewal is given by 30 June of the current season (exception: the Symphoniker Hamburg's Hasi Concerts).

  • Clash of appointments? Swop or transfer!

    If you are unable to attend a concert in your subscription series, a voucher will be issued, which you may then redeem for your chosen concert of the same promoter (exceptions: NDR Bigband, NDR Jazz, NDR Vokalensemble and NDR Chamber Music Recitals series as well as the Symphoniker Hamburg’s »Hasi Concerts«).

    Only one swop is accepted per subscription and season. Swops can only be executed within season. You must give notice of a swop request in person or by phone one week before the concert at the latest.

    The right to attend the subscribed concerts can also be transferred to third parties.

  • Choosing your seat

  • Free travel to concerts with HVV

    On the respective date of the event, the subscription card is valid for one journey to the venue and the corresponding return journey within the A–F zones of the Hamburger Verkehrsverbund (HVV).
