Lieben's favourite places

No-one knows the building as well as he does: Elbphilharmonie director Christoph Lieben-Seutter shows us three of his favourite parts of the Elbphilharmonie.

As General and Artistic Director, Christoph Lieben-Seutter has known the Elbphilharmonie from the outset – and years later, he is still full of enthusiasm for this building that combines different architectural worlds. In the video he presents three of his favourite corners.

  • Christoph Lieben-Seutter

    Christoph Lieben-Seutter was born in Vienna in 1964. After graduating from high school, he spent several years working in the computer industry. Via positions at the Zurich Opera, as secretary-general of the Vienna Konzerthaus and as director of the festival Wien Modern, his career brought him to Hamburg, where he has been moulding the profile of the Elbphilharmonie and the Laeiszhalle as General and Artistic Director of both concert halls since 2007.
