Piano Recital with Martina Consonni and Tomoki Park – »Building Bridges«
Sir András Schiff
The grand seigneur of the piano, who also celebrates his 70th birthday this season, appears several times in Hamburg. At his side: young talented pianists from his mentoring programme
Description
Sir András Schiff is not just a gifted pianist: he is a thinker at the keyboard, an artist who penetrates a work down to the last detail and is fond of performing a composer’s music as a cycle. The Budapest native shows the full range of his versatility in the new season – as a soloist at the side of major orchestras, in recital, as a chamber musician and, last but not least, as an ensemble leader. However, the master musician starts off by taking a step back and offering young musicians a platform with his mentoring programme »Building Bridges«.
