Music and meditation are ideal for clearing your mind – especially when you combine the two. That’s exactly what happens in the »zen« programme, for which the Elbphilharmonie Recital Hall is being slightly rearranged: the chairs are removed and cozy cushions and yoga mats are brought in. Ensemble Resonanz plays chamber music, DJ Basswald contributes subtle electronic sounds – and the audience is guided through a meditation. Everyone closes their eyes together, takes a deep breath in and out, feels the floor and takes in the space. Everyone is fully present in the moment.
Elbphilharmonie PLUS is a programme that opens up different ways of looking at the music performed at the Elbphilharmonie – either to supplement a concert, or as an experience in its own right. Interdisciplinary encounters and exhibitions form part of the Elbphilharmonie PLUS programme, as do concert talks and films shown in museums, libraries, cinemas and community centres.
