The world’s most spectacular theatre group

La Fura dels Baus are arguably the most famous theatre group in the world: the dazzling choreographies and spectacular theatrical happenings created by this Catalan troupe always create a stir, whether in performances at the Olympics, in opera productions around the globe, or in the cinematically breathtaking finale of Tom Tykwer’s film »The Perfume«.

Their current project is a staged interpretation of Haydn’s oratorio »The Creation«. As part of the festival »Theater der Welt«, it thematically explores and showcases the famous landmark harbor city of Hamburg.

French conductor Laurence Equilbey, a student of Nikolaus Harnoncourt, is the musical director, and she brings along her own two ensembles, together with three fantastic young soloists. This »Creation« promises two evenings where music and theatre merge in a unique way.
