Three delicious courses, three thought-provoking questions , three inspiring encounters – that is the concept of Story-Teller, a social dinner that brings people together to get talking in a relaxed atmosphere. This time it’s about love and all that goes with it. Atmospheric musical accompaniment is provided by two of the most sought-after young musicians of the hour: the mezzo-soprano Ema Nikolovska and the accordionist Samuele Telari. The evening opens with the offer of an aperitif to »loosen the tongue«, then guests start chatting, listening, getting to know one another and enjoying this multisensory experience.
The event is the ideal warm-up for the concert featuring Bejun Mehta, »perhaps the most sophisticated and musically satisfying of today’s countertenors« (Opera News). On 24 May 2023, he will be giving an intimate recital in the Elbphilharmonie Recital Hall dedicated to the highs and lows of love.
Elbphilharmonie+ is a programme that opens up different ways of looking at the music performed at the Elbphilharmonie – either to supplement a concert, or as an experience in its own right. Interdisciplinary encounters and exhibitions form part of the Elbphilharmonie+ programme, as do concert talks and films shown in museums, libraries, cinemas and community centres.
