Description
From a small group of instruments right up to a big band – anything goes when the Hamburg inner city is filled with music! On Friday 23 May 2014, starting at 14:00h, school ensembles play, spread out at different locations in the city like a many pointed star, and move steadily towards the central point at Jungfernstieg where they come together to play the final piece. The final piece will be conducted by Jiggs Whigham, conductor of the BBC Big Band in England, artistic director of the Berlin Jazz Orchestra, professor at the Guildhall School of Music And Drama in London and artistic director of the »BUJAZZO« (Bundesjugendjazzorchester).
