Classics!

It’s not just Russian roots that the violinist Alina Ibragimova and the conductor Maxim Emelyanychev have in common. Both delight audiences on historic instruments as well as on modern ones. They now perform three absolute classics of the repertoire with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, which Emelyanychev has been directing since 2019. Their programme brings together two composer friends, Mendelssohn and Schumann. And with Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 5, Alina Ibragimova continues her engagement with a composer whose violin sonatas brought her the »German Record Critics’ Award«.
